SECRET BASE X INVISIBLE SKULLBRAIN X BASE2XO X 4.5 INCH designer collectible toy

This Skullbrain sculpture, born from the collaboration between Secret Base and Base2XO, explores the intersection of Japanese sofubi culture and contemporary underground art. Its translucent vinyl, aged to a warm yellowish-tan patina, evokes the passage of time, lending the figure an almost archaeological quality reminiscent of vintage Japanese cyborg toys.

The exposed-brain skull, skeletal torso, and oversized boxing gloves create a deliberate tension between anatomical fragility and physical aggression. The contrast between the figure’s delicate translucency and confrontational form transforms a character-based collectible into a study of mortality, decay, and resilience. At approximately 4.5 inches tall, the piece demonstrates how material, aging, and exaggerated anatomy can elevate designer vinyl beyond its origins as a toy into a compelling object of contemporary collectible art.
